A Hand Up A Hand Up - "Reaching out to the homeless, the hungry and the hurting." - back to top of page

Not church "welfare," but rather a project to help people "fare well." People need food, clothes, the warmth of a blanket, encouragement and referrals to enter the community's mainstream. Both short-term and long-term solutions are offered to the recipients. Assistants are always needed to pack food boxes and do outreach. If you wish to be involved call (530) 671-3160.

Mentoring Mentoring - "Investing in the Future" - back to top of page

Many children in our community are either missing one or both parents. Some of their parents are struggling with addiction, poverty and/or divorce. Some children are "on their own" much of the time. The public school teachers and administrators are identifying children who need a mentor to befriend them and be a role model for them. With parents' authorization the school refers them to us. Your investment of a few hours a week can alter the child's destiny. Contact Lou Binninger at (530) 671-3160 (x208) for information or click Lou@churchofgladtidings.com for email.

Character Coaching Character Coaching - "Building Citizens Through Teaching and Behavior Modeling" - back to top of page

Workers are needed to do the painting. All materials are supplied. Contact Lou Binninger at (530) 671-3160 (x208) for information or click Lou@churchofgladtidings.com for email.
